Municipality of Paionia is one of the two large municipalities of the Regional Unit of Kilkis. The Municipality, has acquired adequate experience deriving from its coordination, management and participation of projects under Interreg IV-A, Erasmus+ and other national initiatives.

The Municipality was under immense pressure after the outburst of the refugee crisis thus Idomeni, the cross-border town closest to the northern borders, lies within the jurisdiction of the Municipality. The vast makeshift of Idomeni into a huge refugee camp, quickly became a stark symbol of the European crisis. Amid despair, both the Municipality and the local citizens made tremendous efforts helping refugees and resolving this situation, demonstrating solidarity at its greatest.

Municipality of Gevgelija

Municipality of Gevgelija is located in the very southeast of the Republic of North Macedonia, situated at the cross-border area with Greece (Bogorodica-Evzoni). Municipality of Gevgelija is a unit of a local government, in which citizens exercise their right to local self-government directly and through their representatives in the municipal bodies.

Municipality of Gevgelija has realized a number of successful projects, most of which are in the field of infrastructure, but also in the economic and local development, tourism development, social cohesion and social protection, development of the sectors of education, culture, and energy efficiency.

Association ” Varna – European Youth Capital”

Varna European Youth Capital” Association has been created in 2016 in order to support the preparation and implementation of the programme of Varna municipality in regard to its selection as European Youth Capital 2017. The organisation is an umbrella structure of other legislative bodies. It is chaired by Varna Municipality, while 8 youth organisations are board members. Officially registered purpose of the Association is: to stimulate society engagements and participation of young citizens & youth organisation in formation and realisation of municipal strategies, as well as to support the process of development of international relations and networks concerning youth activities, social entrepreneurs and inclusion of youth into all aspects of civil society formation at EU level.

Comune Di Brindisi

Municipality of Brindisi is an autonomous local public body and it represents its community in relations with State, with the Puglia Region and the Province of Brindisi. Its purpose is to look after the interests and to promote the development of its citizens. The municipality administration is divided into 14 sectors, and it has about 350 employees as staff. The Body has a long experience in Management and implementation of EU Founded projects

Moreover in the territory of the Municipality of Brindisi there is one of the Italian Reception Center for Asylum Seekers and it was located one of the Italian Identification and expulsion centers in order to hold foreigners subjected to expulsion and repression measures with accompanying support to the border.

It was founded in 1988 and promotes international solidarity, European and Euro-mediterranean youth exchanges, initiatives concerning training and information. Swieqi Local Council

The Swieqi Local Council is a basic form of local government which deals with some aspects of the local community life and organisation. This community falls under Is-Swieqi, Ibrag and Madliena. Its population is approximately 11,000 residents. In the context of an inclusive society, Malta and the City Council of Is-Swieqi form and improve the conditions to integrate recently-fled refugees in their society, creating EU synergies between cities that face similar challenges.

UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki

UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki (UNESCO YCT) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in Thessaloniki. Founded in 2004, UNESCO YCT works under the auspices of the Hellenic National UNESCO Committee. It is a member of the Movement of Clubs of UNESCO and a member of the Greek National Youth Council.

From 2016 the organisation is very active at the level of the refugees’ support and especially the young ones, running projects and initiatives in local level for their support and especially for their inclusion and their equal participation at the Greek education system.
